After Graduation: Where do our alumni go?

The Department of Chemistry has a good track record of placing our graduates in academic, industrial, and government positions. Currently a large percentage of our students take academic jobs after completing their degree, with most teaching at undergraduate institutions. Another large fraction continue their education in postdoctoral positions. Students accepting industrial jobs account for most of the remaining students, with a few going on to positions in government research positions. You can see what our alumni are doing on our alumni page.
