SURP Program (NSF-REU site)
The Chemistry Department has run a Summer
Undergraduate Research Participation (SURP) program for over
two decades. The program allows students preparing to enter their
junior or senior year to spend 10 weeks working with department
faculty on modern research problems. In addition to working in
research labs, students participate in seminars on current research,
research instrumentation, and scientific ethics. A variety of
social activities provide chances for students to interact with
the faculty and students of the Chemistry Department. |
