I am a doctoral student in the College of Communication and Information Sciences at
the University of Alabama.  

I have worked professionally  in newspapers and television news. I also supervised an online student publication.  I hope  that work experience will help me to prepare journalism students for their future careers in the media.

My primary research interest is journalistic ethics.  I became concerned about the varying degrees of professional ethics when I was working in television news. That concern followed me throughout my career and eventually became the focus of my thesis and dissertation.
