



The Sculpture program is centrally located on the main UA campus in three separate buildings: Woods Hall (1 st floor), Sculpture Graduate Studio, and the Bureau of Mines (bldg.5). The sculpture facilities encompass both interior and exterior work areas which total 25,146 square feet:
Woods Hall
Wood shop - 1410sqft.
Critique room - 324sqft.
Common work room - 1680sqft.
Covered exterior work space (lighted) - 1300sqft.
Undergraduate major space (unfinished basement) - 4000sqft.
Bureau of Mines

Metal fabrication shop - 2378sqft.

Exterior work area (lighted with concrete floor) - 2000sqft.
Exterior installation yard (grass) - 5040sqft.
Faculty studio - 900sqft.

The sculpture facilities are all well equipped with tools and machinery.
Wood Shop
Band saw, lathe, planer, drill press, bench grinder, disc sander, belt sander (floor model), spindle sander, jointer, table saw, radial arm saw, compound miter chop saw, panel saw, wood storage racks, full pneumatic capability, fully equipped tool room housing full compliment of hand and power tools, central dust evacuation system.
Metal Shop

2 MIG wire feed welders, plasma cutter, 2 oxy-acetylene rigs, stick electrode welder, 2 TIG welders, gas drive arc welder/generator, bench grinder, drill press, forklift, electric sheer, floor mount hand sheer, sheet roller, break, semi-automatic horizontal miter band saw, manual adjustable 2 drive roll universal bender, full pneumatic capability, modest complement of electric & pneumatic hand and power tools, full air-draw and ventilation system.
Foundry
Speedy-Melt ground furnace with Bronze & aluminum capability, ½ ton overhead jib crane, large wax burn-out kiln, forced-air gas forge, green-sand mixer, bonded-sand mixer, wax building facility, dry material storage, full complement of foundry safety gear for a crew of 6.
