The Department of Chemistry at The University of Alabama offers
degrees in chemistry at the B.S.,
M.S., and Ph.D.
levels. We are a growing program with 25 faculty and approximately 90
graduate students. Research and teaching are conducted in the
major disciplines of chemistry: analytical, inorganic, organic,
and physical chemistries and biochemistry. In addition, chemistry
faculty actively participate in interdisciplinary
scientific research programs involving synthesis, the chemistry
of materials, biological chemistry, and environmental chemistry.
