2. All quizzes
will be announced
at least one day in advance and are required. There will
be no make-ups. Quizzes will be graded on a 100 point
scale. If you miss a quiz you will receive a zero. You are allowed to
drop your
lowest quiz grade.
<>Attendance: Attendance is
required and will be recorded. Poor attendance will be reflected in
your grade:
five or more absences will result in the
lowering of
your final grade by one full letter. If for some reason you miss
class,
be sure to check with me or another student as to what you have
missed--scheduling of quizzes, etc. THAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.>

Homework: Homework
will be graded on a scale of 100. If you forget to
bring your homework to class, you may place it under the door to my
office by
5:00 PM on the day due. Otherwise, LATE HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
You will
receive a zero for each missed assignment.>

Projects: You will be
required to make two tapes in this course (one
at the beginning of the course, one at the end) based on a written
Russian
text. Also, you will be required to transcribe one written text as well
as two
sound files in Russian without a written text.>
