Courses

I teach courses in the Departments of New College and Biological Sciences. Because my research interests and educational background are in ecology, the majority of my classes emphasize various interactions among organisms, including humans, and their environment. In Biology, I teach a course on wetland plants and wetland ecosystems. In New College, my courses are much broader and focus on interdisciplinary aspects of the natural sciences as well as issues related to environmental science and global climate change. New College is an interdisciplinary seminar-based program for undergraduate students. All New College students participate in the seminar series taking 3 lower level seminars and 2 upper level seminars before graduating.
