After four successful spring semesters of the Creative Writing Club (CWC) after-school program, the University of Alabama Program in Creative Writing is proud to announce the return of a two-week summer camp for high school students interested in creative writing. The Creative Writing Camp will meet in UA’s Morgan Hall in the afternoons from June 2-13 from 1-4pm, with a final public reading and publication of a student anthology on the last day.

The camp will feature writing workshops in fiction, poetry, and non-fiction; small groups with experienced teachers from CWC’s spring after-school program; written and verbal feedback on student writing; readings by local writers; and electives on a variety of writing-related topics.

Tuition is $175, with need-based scholarships available.
