SUBSCRIPTIONS TO DIGITAL RESOURCES

Access to MD Consult, Harrison's Online and full text electronic journals have been made available to CCHS faculty, residents, students, and RAAHEC preceptors as follows:

(NOTE: Please familiarize yourself with the logout procedures for each resource. By license agreement with each provider, we are limited as to the number of simultaneous users. It is therefore imperative that you logout of Harrison's and MD Consult when through.)

MD Consult(access to over 40 medical textbooks, journals, drug information and much more!)

Access is by individual password only and is currently available to UA CCHS faculty, residents, students and RAAHEC preceptors.

Access to MD Consult is available in two ways:

Capstone Clinic Digital Library
RAAHEC Preceptor Digital Libraries Program (for CCHS preceptors)

Use MD Consult as a stand alone service at http://www.mdconsult.com/

PLEASE LOG OFF when finished with MD Consult! This will enable others at CCHS to use MD Consult when needed. There are logout buttons on each MD Consult resources page (usually in the upper left hand corner of the screen).

Harrison's Online

Access is by password only and is currently only available to UA CCHS faculty, residents, and students.

Full Text Electronic Journal Subsciptions

Access is by password only OR you must be accessing from a computer on the University of Alabama campus (including the Capstone Clinic or DCH Ed Tower) and is currently available to UA CCHS faculty, residents, and students only.

Go to the E-Journals and Publications section of the CCHS Clinical Digital Library or the Capstone Clinic Clinical Digital Library for links to full text electronic journal subscriptions.

IMPORTANT: If you need a specific full text article that requires a password to access, please call the CCHS Health Sciences Library reference department at 8-1364 in order to determine whether the library has a subscription and to receive password.
