UPDATE TO THIS AREA TO OCCUR SHORTLY!

This is one of the least-appreciated areas of Doctor Who, even though a lot of work has occurred in this area recently.  The spinoffs generally fall into three categories - official BBC Spinoffs, professionally-made spinoffs, and amateur spinoffs.  They include both audio and video releases.  Amateur spinoffs are generally distinguished from the others in that the roles are not reprised by the original actors.  

Official BBC Spinoffs:

Ashley X's "Devious": (in production) - Many color images.  This project distinguishes itself from all others in that it actually features 15 minutes of footage with Jon Pertwee reprising his role as the 3rd Doctor!  It also features the Daleks.  Quite impressive, by the looks of it!  The premise is quite interesting as well, featuring a Doctor stuck between Troughton and Pertwee.

The Doctor Who Audio Dramas (Everlasting Films):  There have been around 130 of these produced, including (?) some by FOX Dr. Who producer Philip David Segal.  The catalog is far too immense to list here, but their website does broadcast two stories per week via Real Audio.  Extensive ordering information available.  This universe crosses over with the Star Trek universe, so be aware!
