Since the department opened the class up to 160 students, we now have an additional 60 students. This means that it would be impractical to formally discuss Chapter 1 of Elements tomorrow, Monday, Jan 9. Consequently, we will finish the lecture from last class tomorrow, Friday, Jan 9 and begin and finish Chapter 1 of Elements on Monday, Jan 12; so Exercises A and B of Elements Chapter 1 will be due on Wednesday, Jan 14 at the beginning of class. The remaining readings and HW assignments for Chapter 2 of Elements will remain the same for Week 2.
