Michael Aaron Jones (Production Assistant) is proud to be an MFA candidate in Stage Management. Previous ASF credits include Production Assistant for Doctor Faustus and Fair & Tender Ladies, as well as Stage Manager for A Midsummer Night’s Dream: MFA Studio Project. Michael has spent the last several years living a nomadic existence working for regional theatres like the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Nebraska Theatre Caravan, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Clarence Brown Theatre, and the Actors Co-op. He holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Tennessee.




WHO IS MIKE JONES? Mike grew up in the heart of the Smoky Mountains of Eastern Tennessee. His theatrical career started in kindergarten when he performed Seesaw Marjorie Daw before a gathering of proud parents. Over two decades later Mike is now a professional Stage Manager, a member of the Actors Equity Association and has worked at two Tony Award winning theatres. He has over 50 theatrical productions behind him, including 14 by Shakespeare. (see resume) Mike currently lives with his cat, Ophelia, in Alabama where he is attending graduate school.

From the Hedwig and the Angry Inch playbill - Actors Co-op: Michael Aaron Jones (Stage Manager) is happy to be back in the Black Box for the summer. Mike was the Resident Stage Manager for the Actors Co-op from 1999 to 2003. Some favorite Co-op credits are: Lysistrata, Prelude to a Kiss, Keely & Du, Translations, Laestrygonians, Machinal, and Curse of the Starving Class. Since he left Knoxville , he has worked professionally at the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, The Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C. , and completed an internship at the Tony Award winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Mike holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Tennessee and is pursuing an MFA in Stage Management from the University of Alabama / Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
