The University of Alabama College of Continuing Studies and the State Department of Insurance have joined together to provide online registration and computerized testing.

The State of Alabama Department of Insurance is responsible for regulating the insurance industry in the State of Alabama. Included in this responsibility is the monitoring of producers to provide quality service to consumers as well as producers.

The Producer Licensing Division is directly in charge of ensuring the competence of producers that represent the insurance industry. The Department of Insurance oversees and serves more than 67,000 licensees and processes approximately 180,000 applications of one type or another per year.

This web site contains information on insurance licensing, application procedures, registration for examination(s) and the issuance of licenses.

Please be advised the University of Alabama has completed an upgrade of the registration system.  If your computer uses an old or slow browser you may be unable to access the new online registration system.  Users should have no trouble with Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari web browsers.  Some companies security systems may also block access because of security pop-up box options.

by Phone, Fax or Mail  Option. Which has all information and a printable PDF registration form for the alternate registration methods.

You Must Register Seven (7) Days in Advance of the Day You Wish to Test . If you are registering after 3:00 PM, Please do not attempt to register for a date that states "this session is closed at check out". Our system updates at night to remove closed sessions from displaying. Some dates still show, but state closed at checkout. You will not be registered for a closed session.
