- Christina Rauh was a finalist for the Convention Award for Best Poetry, and you can read Deaf, Window Seat, For Richard G. Morin, and A Far Cry from Ruth online
- Jesse O'Reilly was a finalist for the Convention Award for Best Poetry

- Bob Halli swore to uphold the Sigma Tau Delta legacy--as President of the National Organization! Congratulations!
Then, as former Phi Xi member Zac Showers, now at the University of Florida, would say, we give a shout out to two of our good friends: Zac himself was a finalist for Convention Award for Best Poetry, and Greg Brown, from the University of Mississippi, was a finalist in the same category, a runner up for the Graduate Scholarship, and runner up for Best Personal Website. Finally, let's hear it for Shawn Rider from the Eta Chi chapter at the University of Idaho, runner up in the Best Chapter Website competition.
