Zac Showers - The Party

Hey diddle diddle, the cat had a fiddle,
the Big Bad Wolf played bass,
the Billy Goats Gruff played guitar well enough,
together they rocked the place,

the party was jumpin', as parties will do,
Hansel was dancin', and Gretel was too,
Rapunzel wore shoes, but that's about all,
and Mother Goose brought alcohol,

Old King Cole was a merry old soul,
he called for his pipe, he called for his bowl,
the bowl lies empty behind the wall,
'cause with his pipe he smoked it all,

Peter Peter the mushroom eater,
found a girl but couldn't keep her,
still he stumbles, still he tries,
to catch the spots before his eyes,

Cinderella, dressed in yellow,
went upstairs to bang her fellow,
though we were all too drunk to care,
they never made it past the stairs,

and then there was the Charming Prince,
who hasn't touched the bottle since,
he couldn't hold his beer that night-
his date left less than Snowy White,

Humpty Dumpty fell on his face,
they carried him out like a basket case,
the king then spoke, and drained his cup,
"That's what he gets for cracking up,"

The King was at a poker game, losing all his money,
The Jack was in his drawing room, talking to his honey,
The Queen was in the parking lot, soon to drive away,
but four-and-twenty blackbirds beshat her Chevrolet.
